Arnold SamotnyVice President
Arnie Samotny’s background as a commodities trader and the owner of a construction company allow him to provide National Realty Network clients with the best available investment ideas in commercial and industrial real estate.
"Trading helped me understand the impact of interest rates, money supply, foreign investments and other economic forces on the real estate market," he explains. "And being the owner of a construction company taught me how to market a product, keep costs within budget, and go above and beyond in client service."
After receiving his degree in economics and finance from the University of Miami in Florida, Arnie spent 14 years as an independent commodities trader at the Chicago Mercantile Exchange, where he also sat on a number of committees.
Because his father had been a Chicago real estate developer for more than 20 years, Arnie had grown up around real estate. He extended his knowledge through continuing education at DePaul University, Chicago, Illinois, specializing in real estate finance and law. Then Arnie decided to make this field his career by opening a residential construction company and becoming a property manager and leasing agent. Among his many projects, Arnie completed land planning on a raw 70 acre parcel, developing it into a successful 200 single–family home subdivision in Round Lake Beach, Illinois.
Arnie is a licensed real estate broker in Illinois and Arizona.
